brisbane indesign - november 08

Although we are yet to launch Small Australian Projects officially, we had somewhat of a soft launch at Brisbane Indesign this year. Without a showroom we were fortunate enough to showcase our furniture at Lightspace, a new events space in Fortitude Valley which we shared with four other designers.

The day proved to be a huge success with over 1000 people coming through Lightspace alone. It was a great event for us, as we received much positive feedback.

We also gave away a signature Donovan Hill shadow table worth $3500 in a raffle drawn at the end of the day. The lucky winner of this beautifully hand-crafted, Victorian Ash, timber table was Mary English-Brown. She’s now enjoying the table in her newly renovated house. Congratulations Mary!

On behalf of everyone at Small Australian Projects, I’d like to thank everyone who passed through the showroom and of course the organisers of the event Indesign. It was a stellar day and we look forward to 2010 when we can showcase the upcoming ranges from m3 architecture, John Wardle Architects and Durbach Block.
